Berkshire Facts

Berkshire has been the scene of many battles. Berkshire battles include the Battle of Englefield, the Battle of Ashdown and the Battle of Reading. During the English Civil War there were two Berkshire battles in Newbury. During the Glorious Revolution of 1688, there was a second Berkshire Battle at Reading, also known as the "Battle of Broad Street".

Hinds Head

The Hinds Head is situated in the center of old Aldermaston Village and dates back to 1650 surrounded by the beautiful Royal Berkshire countryside.
