Berkshire Facts

Berkshire has been the scene of many battles. Berkshire battles include the Battle of Englefield, the Battle of Ashdown and the Battle of Reading. During the English Civil War there were two Berkshire battles in Newbury. During the Glorious Revolution of 1688, there was a second Berkshire Battle at Reading, also known as the "Battle of Broad Street".

Directions:

Leave the M4 at Junction 6 and take the A332 to a large roundabout. Take the first exit into Clarence Road. Then through a set of traffic lights and straight over a mini roundabout into Victoria Street at the end is a T Junction. Turn left into Sheet Street.
